Happy Holidays! (December 2007)
Seasons Greetings!
I am guessing that today many of you are like me in that you have left your holiday shopping to the last possible moment and are feeling generally stressed by the situation. If you are like me all the horrible traffic, huge lines, crowds and indecision of what to actually buy has left you a wee bit lacking in your holiday spirit.
This is not the end, for once you have finished acquiring all the items and goods you come to the part that I and probably the vast majority of all males dread... wrapping! There is just something I know personally I lack when it comes to the ability to make nice square and even corners. No matter how hard I try, it always ends up looking like the gift the dog got a hold of before opening.
However, there is hope for us wrapping-gene-deficient folks! A few years ago I had an epiphany when it came to the holidays and I would like to share that experience with you to help you alleviate stress and save you time and money this year.
The secret to my success you ask??
Nothing makes the holidays easier than......

"The Christmas Fish Box"
The Christmas fish box is truly the perfect addition to the holiday season. Fish boxes, as you can see, are already often decorated with beautiful drawings, in full colour, of fish and their habitat. I don't know about you, but I can picture the festive holiday season on this box already!
The box itself far exceeds any of the flimsy cardboard boxes you will receive at your local department store. Not only are they reinforced with form-fitting Styrofoam, they are also insulated towards the cold. When you give that loving aunt of yours her new wool knit sweater, it is not freezing cold but warm and ready to wear!
The best feature, though, is that they all come with the labels included!! All you need to do is slap the appropriate names on, stuff your gift inside and tape that beauty shut! For additional flair, feel free to add frilly ribbons or other festive ornamental accessories.
The entire process takes 20 seconds per gift, tops, and you are ready to roll!!

As you can see from above the Christmas Fish Box fits right into the holiday ambience.
When placing it under the tree, though, I recommend placing it in a very open and obvious place. You want this baby to stand out and scream... "Are there actually live fish inside?" or "Have they completely lost it and are now gifting their pets away?". In the past, I have even placed some bags of water in the boxes for full effect, to add the "swoosh" feeling when shaking the box.
So, give it a try and feel free to say that it was an original idea. I guarantee you will be the talk of your family.
Happy Holidays,
Spencer
